The Public Information Office is responsible for working with the members of the general public to provide access to publicly available information that is collected or maintained by the Paint Rock Independent School District.

It is the mission of the Public Information Office to deliver accurate and timely responses to public information requests in accordance with Paint Rock ISD policy and state and federal laws.

(Chapter 552 of the Texas Government Code) provides the authority under which a member of the public may access government records without question as to the use of the information. However, certain information is protected from disclosure under the exceptions in the Act, the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and other constitutional, statutory or judicial decisions.
